GUIDELINES
★ I will not be resharing posts with AI, this includes boards made with questionable pinterest art. Please be mindful of making your moodboards, and best to avoid stolen art all together. You can check almost any museums website for open access artwork, and websites like Pexels and Unsplash offer free and open access photography images. If you use comissioned are please credit your artitsts somehow, even if its in the replies
★ All books are welcome, no need to fret about if it’s dark enough or queer enough, if you think it fits and want to participate you are welcome to
★ This is an event for celebrating our work and author to author connections, it’s just for fun! The purpose of this event is NOT to find agents. Reshares, likes, and comments are not only appreciated but encouraged. I have been asked about industry participation, and gave the OK, so while that is not the point of this event, participation from small presses and imprints is okay.
★ Work in any stage is fine, wether it’s a WIP, published work, self published, something you’re querying, etc. If it’s already published, and you’d like to push buy links, please leave these in replies.
★ Please add alt text! Even if it’s simple, you don’t need to be extremely descriptive. Something like “Black graphic with green halftone trash stickers advertising an event called “SLUDGEPIT” followed by any text included on the image is fine.
★ You don’t have to but you can use genre hashtags. Some examples are #H for horror, #SF for sci-fi, #M for memoir, #P for poetry. #R for romance, or adding a “d” or “r” for “dark” or “romance”, so like #HR would be Horror Romance. #W for wip, #Q for querying, #P for published and so on.
★ Because of the nature of this event, please do not post YA or anything geared towards an audience under the age of 18
