Adeline is content with her life in her small town. The people are tolerable, her job isn’t awful, and her best friend Theo is here. Every year Adeline, Theo, and the rest of the town look forward to the plum trees blooming that Drupevale relies on.
Something isn’t right though. When the trees bloom red, Adeline suspects there may be some relation between the heavy pollen in the air, the new color of the flowers, and the way E/Den Industries has been caught more than once in their plum groves.
E/Den industries aims to turn Drupevale into a tourist attraction and increase the output of their orchards, but E/Den has no idea about the secrets the tucked away town hides.
The trees demand payment for their bounty, but everything is going wrong, and Adeline hasn’t heard the spring whispers yet this year.
